Day before a Holiday.....and my car is breaking!
So, Jacob and I get in the car and it hardly starts. Then the alarm starts going off. Now listen, since we have moved to Podunk Idaho (it really isn't Podunk ;), and the batteries on our alarm remotes have died, we just stopped using our alarm. We just lock the doors, never arm the alarm. Okay, so the fact the alarm starts going off.....is just creepy. So here I am trying to figure out how to turn the alarm off, and there is Jacob in the back seat....happy as a clam exclaiming "FIRE TRUCK!!!!"
Don't worry, we are headed in to get it fixed....I know the battery fluid has leaked on the cables....we need a new battery. It shorted the alarm somehow. Hope Larry H. Miller can fix it for me.
Oh the joys! But you know...I love this car. 156,000 miles and not a blip or burp. It has worked like a well oiled machine all these years.
**** Up date****
So, the alarm system went BONKERS, and drained the battery completely dead. When I pulled up to the service place, I turned the car off. 5 minutes later it WOULDN'T start, or jump. So, as we speak we are getting a new battery, battery cables cleaned, and disarming the alarm system. So if anyone is casing my car....the alarm doesn't work;) But I still have LoJack!! WOOHOO! Oh, and as long as it's there, the transmission fluid is being changed, oil is being changed too. Here's to another 100,000 miles!
I'm taking a nap!
Berg....I'm just trying to contain the craziness!
