When I write these blog posts I always smile. It is a great way to share what's on my mind, even though it seems like such randomness when I put it online. I guess it just shows the many sides of ME.
Like many of you, this morning I watched the news to find that the DOW closed yesterday well below 7000. The news casters were very grim, as well they should be. It is not a laughing matter, indeed it is very serious and has real implications for so many of us. But I didn't want that news, and the comments of the commentators to start my day off with a bad attitude. So, I turned to my scriptures to find encouragement. I'm so thankful for the scriptures and for the words of President Monson in this month's First Presidency message. I hope this scripture to can bring my friends and family the same comfort and confidence that it brought me today.
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths."
Proverbs 3: 5-6
