I took this picture this morning.
I used my new camera with these settings:
ISO 1600
30mm f/4.0
exposure 1/160
no flash

I was happy because he was moving, and there was just enough light coming through the back door and windows to keep the pic from being blurry.

I have been wanting to take some fun pictures of Jacob recently, but we have been having a terrible inversion here, and the light is so poor. Finally I just let him play in the open front door and this is what I got. My settings were:
ISO 800
no flash
f/4.0 (f/2.8 on the last pic)
exposure 1/100, 1/50, 1/30 respectively.

Well, I have two cameras.
One, it is for John's office, but I used it mainly until after Christmas: Canon EOS D30 Single Lens Reflex. This is a great camera, i love it, but I don't know how to use it well enough. I hope to one day.

But, for my point and shoot that I just got: Canon SX10 IS It is great. It gives me just enough power over my settings, like exposure, etc....but it is WAY smaller than my D30, it has 10mgp, and it has a movie camera in it too. Now, this version sold in europe and asia has a HD video camera on it, but that can't be bought here in the states.

I love Canon, I've been using them since my parents bought one in the 90's. I know how to use them well now, so I don't know if I'll ever make the switch to something else.

We got a Nikon D80 when we were in NY so we could take good night pictures. I really need to take a class so I can learn to use all the features.
