In the days since the earthquake in Haiti, I've been agonizing on how to journal my thoughts. Finally I've decided to journal them in my personal journal since I'm not well written enough to put them down here and accurately express myself. But John and I did want to share with all of our friends and family some possible ways to help.
We are donating to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Emergency Response. To learn more about current efforts in Haiti please see the LDS Newsroom.
The LDS church works hand in hand with members and non-members alike, and with other large humanitarian groups such as the Red Cross and the Catholic Charities, to name only two.
The LDS church is continually renewing its supply of emergency response items, to always be ready where ever tragedy strikes. If your family is unable to make a financial donation, please consider other efforts, listed here at the LDS website, to help keep supplies stocked for future emergency response needs.
I can't say anything else from my heart....for fear it will not come through genuinely as I sit here in my comfortable home with my family safely around me, for which I'm humbly grateful.
May we continue to pray for the God's blessing on all his children, and for all people to follow His commandments and rely on Him for all things.

Sara, I am so glad you posted this. Thank you.
There is so much to be said...that can be said...but actions speak so much louder than words. Thank you for this active post...the people of Haiti will benefit more from your actions, however simple, than any amount of words however eloquent. Well said, dear Sister.
Sara, those baby pictures really break my heart.
I don't know if you saw 60minutes last night... heart renching...I can't post details, but it was a scene from the holocaust.
