Indian Summer

Here is Jacob playing with my "hands" as he calls them. So cute. He is really into helping me clean recently. He vacuums, he pulls clean tableware out of the drawer to help me load the dishwasher, he helps me splash water all over...I mean wash pots and pans. He wipes up messes, and insists that he has a rag for a napkin at all his meals. He is so fun!

Below are the pictures of the last of our summer veggies. The peppers and tomatoes we grew. The rest are from a great farm stand down the street. These potatoes are the BEST! They are called blue potatoes, but inside they are purple. I think the color makes them taste AMAZING. They actually taste like awesome russet potatoes....but the color is too cool.

We can't wait for apples and pumpkins. We'll be getting our first pumpkins this week. YAY! Now that the weather is cool enough that we won't "cook" them outside, we'll have some cool stuff to show soon. And, I can't wait for apple pie filling. I'm hooked on canning FYI.

I'm loving a series by one of my favorite bloggers. Check it out on The Nesting Place, where the Nester is giving a month of ideas to welcome fall into your home. She's on day 5 of 31.

Seriously, you guys are kind of a cool family. Making your own maternity jeans, running marathons, growing veggies, krumping...is there anything you guys don't do?
Congrats on the little girl btw! I haven't had a chance to tell you that, and I'm sure Cris didn't say anything, he's just like that...ahh Cris.
Seriously though, quit being so talented, it's throwing off my chi.
