Christmas Open House

The other morning, a light turned on. I went digging through my cupboards, and found some pictures from Sunday school manuals. Of course, there were the perfect Christmas pictures.I also took 2 different Christmas cards, and used the adorable front and insides to put in frames. I also cut a large piece of wrapping paper to add a splash of green color to my family room.

These Cranberry windows make me so happy.I've been dreaming of them since last Christmas time. Unfortunately, my panel window coverings are a big pain to tie up every day, and a bummer untie every night. But so worth it!
Next year: Learn to make Roman Shades.

Genius!

I was singing this word to every Christmas tune I could think of, as I hung this wreath. This is the best way I can think of to diet this Christmas season, because I OBVIOUSLY can't be cooking anything now.

Frugal Living:

I am NOT going to say I'm good at this. I'm not elevated in any way as far as frugality goes. But, I am trying. Each year I save a little $$, and I go window shopping for decorations. But I don't buy. I WAIT until the day after Christmas than I purchase the things I "spied" while window shopping....but I get them for at least 75% off. Take these Cranberry Wreaths....they are from Martha Stewart's Collection at Macy's. Originally $60 each, they became mine for only $15 each. YAY!!!! Each year, after I've put up my decorations, I take an inventory of what I want to add next year than I start the whole process over again. It is so fun, and my hubby likes the idea too.

Now that you've had a small peak at my Christmas Decor.....jump over to A Soft Place to Land to check out all the fun Holiday Post's at Kimba's Holiday Open House.

I LOVE those cranberry wreaths. I need to get more decorations now that I'm seeing what everyone else has. Just beautiful. Merry Christmas!!

Cute house! I do the same thing. Target has the best deals at 90% off. After 6.5 years of marriage we finally have a yard full of Christmas lights. My husband loves to decorate outside. It looks like you could land a plane but the neighbors here do it to so I'm not embarrassed.

Your house looks soo nice. I love the wreaths too. I have been a scrouge this year, Pawel got the tree out and puts lights on it... no decorations yet. With a new puppy and the kids, I was afraid of what might happen... and the kids have already knocked over the tree once..
